Pneumatics Bracket Installation
-
Fully power off the sorter with the silver button in the front until the blue light turns off, then turn off the power switch in the back.
-
Open the lid of the sorter. Move the piston toward the front to allow access to the pneumatics bracket in the rear of the sorting bay.
-
Disconnect the pneumatic tubing that travels out of the bracket. This includes the clear tubing on the far right, and both the blue and silver tubes on the left side. To disconnect the tubes, you must push in on the SharkBite connectors while pulling out on the tubes.
Loosen the power connectors on the left two valve connectors by twisting the black thumbscrews counterclockwise.
This will allow you to twist the power connectors towards you and more easily access the screw holding the connector in place.
Unscrew the connector and remove the power plug for all three valves. Note which power plug came from which valve, as replacing them in the same configuration is vital.
- Unscrew the nuts holding the bracket in place with the 7mm Hex Driver.
- You may need to keep the screws steady on the back side of your sorter while loosening, if the screws begin to rotate.
- Remove the old pneumatics bracket and replace with the new one.
- Mount the new bracket with the 7mm Hex nuts.
- Replace power connectors to all three valves, ensuring the same configuration as before.
- Screw in each power connector. Rotate the two leftmost power connectors 90 degrees clockwise.
- Tighten down black thumbscrew on top of these two valves.
- Replace pneumatic tubing, ensuring tubes are fully seated.
- We recommend pushing on the tubes a bit harder than you have to, while making sure no kinks are formed in the tubes.
- Make sure sorting bay is clear of tools and close the sorter lid.
- Power on the sorter and attempt to perform a sort.
