Overview: Piston Replacement
Steps to take:
- Fully turn the sorter off
- Remove input tray
- Press the E-stop and move the gantry forward
- Remove the thumbscrew and set aside for replacement installation
- Move Gantry to the front where the input tray was located
- Move the piston down so that you have space for the next step
- Disconnect the small pneumatics energy chain
- Take note of the exact position of the proximity marker feel free to use a sharpie to mark the position
- Disconnect proximity marker using a 1.5mm hex driver
- Disconnect the two sets of tubing show in the following image
- Also disconnect the blue tubing at the top of the piston assembly
- While holding the piston assembly in place remove and set aside the three shown screws with a 3mm hex driver
- Install new piston and secure first with the three screws from before followed by reconnecting all other components and lastly the thumbscrew
