Overview:
This guide will cover how to order, and install new rail grease from Roca Robotics in your Roca Sorter.
Tools Required:
Grease, cleaning cloth, and 91% Isopropyl alcohol (Not provided)
Potential Cause(s) or Reason(s):
- Your grease life is at 20% or less
- Your rails have excessive visible debris and grime
- Your rails are dry with no visible grease left
- Yor start getting Piston Stuck errors
Ordering Grease and Cleaning Cloth:
- You can order a grease syringe through your Roca Sorter's Menu on your Tablet, by selecting the blue 'Request' box.
- This will send Roca an automated shipping request to get new grease sent out right away.
- At Roca, we recommend requesting new parts when your part life reaches 20%. This will give you plenty of lead time to receive new grease and run your old grease to 0% life for efficiency.
- To order new cloth simply submit a support request and we will have new ones shipped to you.
Cleaning the rails:
- Take a cleaning cloth and pour some of your Isopropyl alcohol on the cloth until it is slightly damp.
- With your damp cloth, wipe the inside of the rails until all dust, grease, and debris are gone.
- Repeat for all 3 rails.

Greasing the rails:
- With your grease syringe in hand you will place 4 pea size dots on each side of the rail starting about 2 inches from the start of the rail and continuing every 4-5 inches, for a total of 8 drops per rail.
- Repeat for all 3 rails (no need to spread the grease as the sliders will do that with use)
- When you have finished, go back into the Menu on your Tablet, and select the red 'Reset' box. This will reset the life of your grease to 100%.
- When you have used all the grease in the syringe feel free to dispose of it in a trash bin.
