The rollers on the Roca Sifter should be replaced after every 500,000 cards scanned. You'll be notified within Scan & Identify when new rollers are being shipped for you to replace.
Accessing the rollers
- If there are cards in the hopper, remove them before opening the Sifter cover.
- Open the Sifter cover by pressing the release button on the right side of the Sifter
Replacing the bottom rollers
Remove the bottom roller cover by placing your thumb and fingers on either side of the finger tabs and lifting upward.
Pinch the finger tabs on the exposed blue roller cartridge and slide the cartridge all the way to the left.
- Lift the roller cartridge out.
- If it does not lift easily, slide the cartridge back to the right and ensure that there are no foreign objects preventing the cartridge from sliding all the way to the left, then try again.
- Place the new roller cartridge on the left side, then slide it to the right until it clicks into place
- If your finger is pressing on the left finger tab you may not hear a click
- Replace the bottom roller cover by gently pushing it down into position until it clicks into place.
Replacing the top rollers
Pinch the finger tabs on the blue roller cartridge and pull gently toward the front of the device.
- Slide the new roller cartridge into position by pushing it gently toward the back of the device until it clicks into place.
Confirming roller replacement
After you've replaced the rollers on your Roca Sifter, select Confirm replacement.
