Included Options

Every new Roca Sorter comes preinstalled with four basic sorts and sifts. These work for all of the TCGs that we support, including Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Lorcana, and Yu-Gi-Oh!. The sorts and sifts are:

Set, Name
Name, Set
Bulk Sift
Price Sift - Set, Name Sort

Sorts

‘Set, Name’ and ‘Name, Set’ are the two sorts included for your Roca Sorter.

Just as the title implies, a ‘Set, Name’ sort will first organize your cards by Set, and then by Name. Set is generally arranged alphabetically from A-Z, but for Magic: The Gathering there is also the option to arrange the cards in reverse chronological (newest first) order.

A ‘Name, Set’ sort will first organize your cards alphabetically by card name, and then by set. This is ideal for TCGs that have a long tenure, like Magic, where some cards have been printed a dozen or more times and have many different sets.

A Roca Classic has a capacity of 1,000 cards and will sort them in approximately 2 hours.

Sifts

‘Bulk Sift’ and ‘Price Sift - Set, Name Sort’ are the two sifts included for your Roca Sorter.

The ‘Bulk Sift’ option is a quick way to pull out all cards that are valuable from a large pile of bulk. What is valuable? The user has the freedom to select the exact dollar amount that they want to search for, and anything that is greater than or equal to that price point is considered valuable by the robot and will be sifted out.

The ‘Price Sift - Set, Name Sort’ is considered a sift, but also has the convenience of a sort. Similarly to a ‘Bulk Sift’, this option will first sift out all valuable cards. Once sifted, those valuable cards will be arranged by set, and then by name. The non-valuable cards will not be sorted.

True sifts (not hybrid Sift/Sorts) save some time because they are doing less sorting, but they also process fewer cards at once. A ‘Bulk Sift’ will process 875 cards in about 1 hour in the Roca Classic, while a ‘Price Sift - Set, Name Sort’ can process 1,000 cards in about 1.5 hours.

Additional Options

Roca Robotics has an extensive catalog of additional sort and sift options available. These options vary by game. We have the ability to sort cards by set, name, color, rarity, type, variant, and collector number.
